About Beta Sigma Phi
Founded in 1931, Beta Sigma Phi has grown to be an International organization, the largest of its kind in the world, with over 250,000 members, 12,500 chapters spanning 23 countries. It was created for women in search of cultural, social and civic activities, and it provided its members the opportunity to develop inspiring friendships.
Beta Sigma Phi has been recognized internationally for its philanthropic work, but the main goal of the organization is life, learning and friendship for its members. Many members will tell you that being a Beta Sigma Phi is a way of life. It enriches, it fulfills, and the friendships made are invaluable. The definition of sorority is simply a "sisterhood". It's a group of women coming together for life, learning, and friendship.
Beta Sigma Phi is a non-sectarian, non-political, and not affiliated with any school or university. Members have included: Barbara Bush, Ginger Rogers, Eleanor Roosevelt, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and many other outstanding women. New honorary member include: Laura Bush and Nancy Pelosi (California Senator). Could you be next?
